NOS Energy Drink chose American Drifting champion Chris Forsberg to launch its first-ever national TV advertising campaign.  The 30 sec. spots will feature a “Day in the Life of Chris Forsberg” as he tests his NOS Energy Drink 350Z at the infamous “Horse Thief Mile” track at Willow Springs Raceway in Rosemond, Calif.  NOS Energy Drink just renewed their primary car sponsorship of Chris Forsberg Racing’s Formula Drift team for three additional years, making it the longest sponsorship contract in the sport’s relatively short history.   Stated Forsberg:  “It shows NOS’ dedication to the sport of Drifting and the active motorsports lifestyle.”

2009 Formula Drift champion  Chris Forsberg took his NOS Energy Drink 350Z to South America to take part in a first-ever international drift demo held by RPM Motorsports. The event featured four drift champions — Samuel Hubinette, Tanner Foust, Ryuji Miki and Forsberg — and two international drivers from France and Japan. Held in the center of downtown Santiago, Chile, the demo event exposed the sport of drifting to well over 15,000 Chileans.  Forsberg and the other drivers were treated to fine Chilean hospitality and were featured in several national news broadcasts and even a late night variety show. The 2009 SEMA Show in Vegas served as the launching pad for a new edition of the Ford Mustang brought to you by Formula Drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. — the Mustang RTR.  MMI served as part of the design team for the dealer-installed appearance/performance kit, and also the collateral and RTR website. The RTR kits go on sale at select Ford dealers starting in 2010.  If you ask JR, they are READY TO ROCK!

Chris Forsberg Wins Formula Drift Seattle

Chris Forsberg won the fifth of seven rounds in the Formula Drift Pro Championship last weekend. Forsberg extended his lead in the Championship to 47 points ahead of fellow MMI client Ryan Tuerck.

“Our goal going into the event was to have a good finish and hopefully add a few points to our championship lead,” said NOS Energy Drink Team Owner and Driver Chris Forsberg. “We are could not be happier the way the event went.”

The next round in the Formula Drift Pro Championship will be held at the infamous Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, CA on August 20th – 22nd coinciding with the Indy Racing League (IRL) opening the sport of drifting to thousands of new race fans.

Chris Forsberg took the championship lead in the Formula Drift Pro Championship this last weekend in Las Vegas with a 3rd place finish. MMI currently has 3 of the top 5 drivers in th points championship, Chris Forsberg in 1st, Ryan Tuerck in 2nd and Vaughn Gittin Jr. in 4th.
